Getting there and mobility
By passenger car, motorcycle and motor caravan
Go north and then keep going straight! Coming from Hamburg, you will travel via the A 23 and then continue upon the B 5 to Husum. From the eastern part of Schleswig-Holstein (Kiel, Lübeck, etc.), you can reach Husum via the A 7 (going towards Flensburg to Schleswig-Schuby, then continue upon the B 201. From Jütland (Denmark), you can reach Husum directly via the B 200 or via Niebüll with the B 5.

By train and bus
Leave your car home! You can travel comfortably to Husum via Hamburg. In the Husum Bay region, you will also find a train station in Witzwort.
For on-site transport, there are train connections to St. Peter-Ording, Tönning, Friedrichstadt, Schleswig, Flensburg, Dagebüll, Niebüll, Sylt, Kiel, etc. as well as into neighbouring Denmark. Furthermore, throughout the entire Husum Bay region, you will have bus transportation available to you which can get you to many destinations and ferry ports.

By airplane
It is also possible to arrive by airplane at the Sylt airport from many cities in Germany as well as from Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Great Britain.
There are more international flight connections via Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel, Sonderburg (DK) and Billund (DK). For more information:

By boat
Husum Bay lies in the sailing region of the North Frisian Islands. There are guest docking berths in Husum Harbour.
By bicycle
The Husum Bay holiday region lies directly along the Nordseeküstenradweg (North Sea Cycle Route), the longest signposted biking path in the world (6,000 km) around the North Sea which is part of the Eurovelo routes. For more information: www.northsea-cycle.com.
Furthermore, not far from Husum is the 240-km-long Eider-Treene-Sorge biking path which leads through a romantic riverscape in northern Germany.
Upon the extensive network of paths in the Husum Bay region, you will find good conditions for exploring the North Sea holiday region with your old trusty bicycle. Tour tips, bicycling maps, information about bike rental and repair stations, bed & bike shops or transport options by train, bus or boat are available at the Husum Tourist Information Centre.
